after removing the bully from my barb tank, fish are beginning to come out in the open ( unfortunately none of my other barbs ) I had a couple long fin green dragon plecos in there, and I had been seeing one all along, and like all my tanks, there is a lot of hiding places... at this mornings's feeding I saw two of them... both look to be growing and thriving... since they don't spend any time together, I assume they are likely the same sex...

and my spot tail algae eaters, with the bully, I never saw them anymore... they are still there, and growing... I saw 6 or 7 of them last night there may be hope for this tank, sans getting the bully out...

It sounds like getting rid of the bully of the aquarium

All of the aquatic life is coming out of the wood work

They are having peace in their surroundings

You never had a bully. You had a fish way tougher than the others, put in the wrong tank, doing what it would be expected to do if any of us had had a clue about how it acted in a tank.

Being a bully is a whole other kettle of fish, and a whole other set of behaviours. The poor guy is an seriously unwanted fish now, but all he needed was a tank ten times larger and ten times as many same species companions.

This is all well and good, but when you remove a poorly chosen fish from a community, it's wonderful to see how fish change their ways and suddenly become visible. I've made a few similar mistakes, but once you correct them, it can be like getting a new aquarium. It looks like the good news just keeps coming in that tank.
