Something smells humany
I have been off the forums a little bit as it's my sisters 21st Today but she is at work so we had a day out last week when she was home. I bought a elephant nose and a spiny eel that day $36 for the elephant nose but well worth it for a fish of that caliber.
Well In other happy news My angelfish bred and I was privilged enough to view the female laying the eggs.
Now the bad, Due to the extreme heat one of my glass catfishes died but oh well. The elephant nose had begun to scratch against objects so I put him in my new tank... later that night it escaped from a 2 inch by about 2 inch hole next to the hang on filter and fell behind the bookcase the tanks on and died...how it escaped Im not sure. In other bad news all angelfish eggs were eaten or died but I held hope the angelfish would breed again...yesterday morning I woke up to find my female angelfish beaten to death at the bottom of the tank most likely by the male.
Now today I visited a aquarium Ihave never been to and dear god I wish I had alot of money, clown pekoltia's (not seen them in aus previously) Brackish puffer's, Keyhole and Festivum cichlids I had yet to see anywhere else... Spotted leporinus. Then my eyes crossed to a label that stated $250 Synodontis Decorus the thing was the size of a half grown oscar. Also fully grown gibbiceps and some HUGE peppered cories and some very small cories I'd never seen before. Anyways I went home with a beautiful Syno Eupteris for $25, a Upsidedown catfish for $15 and a juvinile RENDAHLS CATFISH woot (the catfish in my signature is my rendahls called salvadore) for $10. P
they had a striped raphaels catfish which was TINY for $75...sheesh...very good variety of fish though...
Well currently I placed the new fish in my overgrowing catfish tank because my new tank doesn't have sufficient hiding spots and they could escape (I know not the safest option but now they are safe and secure in a almost all catfish tank.) The positive of the day though happend a few hours ago I glanced to the side glass of my catfish tank to find a largish amount of eggs I presume cory eggs...problem is my gecko loaches seem to have eaten some and the eggs are layed directly in the heavy flow of the internal filter...
Well thats what my past week has been like...at least I get to enjoy friday my sister is getting tickets to tenacious D at festival hall for friday and the family is going to so should be cool
They Also had Black Lancer catfish in their display tank and for sale in another tank for
$22...all sold out
