i have a 75 gallon tank with a red devil, green terror, jack dempsey, texas, and a plecotomus. the first three fish get along fairly well, but the green terror constantly messes with the texas and it is always in caves or up behind one of the three filters. i have another tank that is up and running with nothing in it but plants, and i was planning on moving the texas to it. the texas is about five inches now,and the other tank is only 30 gallons. if i put the texas in it solo will it be alright, and do i have room to add anything like a loach and/or pleco?? any help would be great. thanx

The Texas doesn't get huge, about 8" max right? He should be Ok on his own I would think... just add a large Bristlenose for company/cleanup.... the plants won't last long though. The other cichlids are real agressive fish anyway... the Texas can be tough but still hasn't the rep. of the others. Move him or pass him on to another hobbiest or lfs that can give him a good, stress free life! :)

alright, im goign to the store today to get some slate rocks to set up the tank.. thanks. ill try it outand see what happens

in a 30 gallon alone w/lots and lots of water changes and great filtration and then maybe it can be done a 55g would be best.

what size are all your fish now?just curious
