Hi, just a quick question, i tested my tank this morning because i have been doing a cycle and at last my nitrite was zero.
so i did a big water change about 75%, as i cannot get to the lfs yet i applied some more ammonia to keep it going i also did a test for nitrate after the water change it was almost zero. Anyway while i am waiting do i still have to keep doing tests on tank.

If your nitrite just dropped back to zero for the first time, you may not be completely cycled yet. Continue to add ammonia until the ammonia and nitrite both are going back to 0 in about 10 to 12 hours from the time you add it. Also, add it up to the day before you get your fish. You have to keep the bacteria fed or they will begin to die off.

if your ammonia runs out and u need to feed the tank use crushed flake foods it all helps

Hi, thanks for the info, you brought me to my next question, i tested again 8 or 9hrs after this morning and my ammonia was back to zero so was i right in adding some more ammonia. should i check after 8hrs and if down add some more.
