They are little terracotta balls approx the size of bio balls and they sell them at garden centres
I've had mine in a pot but not doing much, they look nice but boring in a pot as I'm not a keen gardener
Thought one of 2 things - drop them in the tank, randomly, might look nice - but safe?
Or use them as bio balls? Good service area, possibly same as ceramic rings with the porous factor?
Any thoughts?

You say you have them in a pot are they plants or are they just round terracotta balls if their just terricotta they wont hurt you fish just run boiling water over them.

No they are literally balls of terracotta, they are not plants, they were sitting on the soil so they have been washed, there is a little green on some of them, i.e. some sort of non-aquatic algae but I don't have to use those ones

Would they make good bio balls?
