thats all for now. how does it sound. Im new to marine one :p

That all sounds very nice except for the porky and anemone. Porky's grow fast and large. A 30 just isn't enough for that bad boy IMO.

I had a porky and a red Volitans all by themselves in a 55. That should tell you something. :) And I wished for a bigger tank for just the two of them! It was just the volitans that I owned, then I had to rescue the porky - long story. And my porky never did get acclimated to processed foods. Just like the lion he ate small fish (Part of the reason for the rescue).

At any rate, I would encourage you to a bigger tank as a first timer and (sadly) discourage you away from the anemone. I know they are intriguing and gorgeous and people love to see clowns in them and it seems like the natural thing to get one...but they are so delicate and specific in their requirements. Water must be perfect, light must be perfect, etc.

I just hate to see newbies get in over their head and experience disaster. Losing stock is not fun. :(

Im not completely alone in all this. My dad(im only 13) has owned an anenome. When he was in college and befor. He kept in a 30 to so i no it works. So i guess with his help it might work. I understand about the porky. If not a porky what would be good?

anenomys need light! what type of lighting do you have? also, I would go for a pair of common clowns (perc's), and a blenny. What type of skimmer do you have.
and how is it filtered?. i would get about 10 blue legged hermits for that tank.

Hi mate i like your set up
but if you are new to this
puffers aint good because they get big and if they get stressed (quite easily)
they puff out and let chemicals into the water which is deadly to other fish
i am only 14 but i have been doing this for 5 years so i know what i am talking about
the other poster is right anenomes need perfect water and perfect lighting
and the lighting needs to be on i timer about 8 hours a day 4 in the morning
4 in the evening.
just in case, if you get live rock but a brisstle worm trap before anything
trust me i made the mistake of that and i am suffering now.
and dont over stock the tank.
good luck
Daniel
