Tanning In My Tank

Hi All

About two month ago we set up a 6 1/2 x2x2. I bought a huge piece of Mangrove Swamp Wood and soaked it for about two weeks. When we put the wood into the tank it was still tanning the water so we put two bags of charcoal into the external filter a (Fluvel FX5) and also into the powerhead. It has cleared up a little bit but not much. The Charcoal has been in the filter for about two weeks. How long will it take to clear up?

the bigger the wood the longer it takes.i quite like the look of tannins in a tank myself but if you dislike it that much take it out and soak it for another 2 weeks.or maybe do a small water change everyday
