Tank Sterilizing

ive decided to give up on brackish i simply cannot find the fish which kind of makes it pointless having the tank doesnt it!

what i want to do is use the tank for a planted community basically move my fish over into this larger tank.

how would i go about cleaning and sterilizing this tank as i know cories(which will be going in here) are highly intolerant of salt.

can i basically just clean it how i would clean any other tank with water and alot of patience or do i need somthing slightly stronger?

Most likely a simple rinsing and rub down would do. I guess you could also use vinegar and water or bleach and water but I would think that simply rinsing would get rid of all the salt. The amount left would be so minute, I don't see that it would be a factor.

figured it was worth checking really to be safe u never know what experiences other ppl have had

emptied it now anyhow and in the process of cleaning it

If you can you could move it outside and just let the hose run it it for a while to dissolve and rinse the salt away. If its too big you could do some water changes with hot water to dissolve the salt faster.
