8) Now that I have a little family of Puffer's! I am wondering about breeding my own snails. One of my tanks (not the Puffer tank), as a large infestation of little snails. I want to get 5 or so of these snails out of this tank, put them in a container of water and let them breed to high heaven!! But what requirements to snails genreally need?? (I never thought I would ask that!!)...

Temperature??
Access to land??
Cycled water??

THANKS!

Food, mostly. They'll need filtration, temperate water in the lower 70's F and a cycled tank. True aquatic snails, which you likely have, don't need land. Some need a out of water but moist area to lay egg clutches but this can be the top of the tank.

When I had a go, I used a large coffee jar, drilled a hole in the lid to get an airline in to run an airstone. I left it on the top of one of my tanks to keep it warm and threw bits of lettuce leaves and a few algae pellets in. Change 100% of the water every other day or so (dechlorinated). Simple as that really. They did OK for a while, but the planned dwarf puffer tank never happened so I binned it.
