i bought some plants from a pet superstore for my aquarium but i dont know if i should take them out of their little plastic buckets and their rockwoll or not as they didnt tell me what to do with them!!

please help as y poor little plant doenst look to well and i dont want it to die as its my first plant in the aquarium!!!!

cheers folks

I've always grown mine from bulbs but I would say take it out of the container and carefully place it in your substrate and add any kind of plant food you have.

yes, take it out of the pot, and take off the rockwool VERY carefully - don't damage its little roots or it won't be happy! good luck with them

just taken them out of the pots and i will be telling the manager that i wasnt advised properly and i will be back on here again!!!

cheers guys and gals!!!

P.S what is a good hardy low maintenence tropical fish to start with?? (im not lazy but i do long hours!!)

cheers!!

Zebra Danios strike immediately to mind. In fact some people use them to cycle their tanks because they can withstand the cycling. I've never done that but i does give you an ide a on how hardy they are.

Hi scottonjackd :)

I just found your thread in the Newbie forum and will move it to a place where you will be more likely to get answers.
