I'm looking to get another fish. Something that could be the main focus, possibly an Angel fish, but first I need to find out what would be compatible with my current fish. In my 29g I have:

4 Neon Tetras
4 Glo-lite Tetras
3 Black Neon Tetras
2 Glass fish
A Otto
and A Zebra Danio

So if I'm correct on my calculations then I have 8 inches of fish left. Would an Angel fish do well in that tank or would you suggest something else?

Thanks,
Matt

No angelfish. It would soon enough make lunch out of your neons. If you had more room I would tell you to get more glass fish seeing how they like to be in groups of about six or more. And you are talking about glass catfish right? But I think you have room to get a couple more danios. They also like to schoal.

Just my point of view.

If you want a 'centre piece fish' what about a nice gourami. There are some gorgeous coloured ones out there. I've got a Royal Red Gourami (george) and he rules the tank, he's such a character! He's not aggresive to my other fish but they know he's the boss! The only fish that take no notice of his 'highness' are my cories but cories are so laid back they just do their own thing!! lol :fun:

angel fish need high tanks not exactly sure on the figure myself but i prsonally would up the numbers on the fish you have to:

5/6 Neon Tetras
5/6 Glo-lite Tetras
5/6 Black Neon Tetras
5/6 Glass fish
3/4 Otto
5/6 Zebra Danio

if you keep up with the maintainance then that stocking should be fine :good:

Yeah, you currently have only shoal fish, for which the numbers should be 6ish for each fish. Gouramis are nice centrepiece fish as already said before, or otherwise bolivian rams. Maybe you could try to rehouse or exchange some of your tetras to make up the numbers in one of the other species, and then add your centrepiece.

The otto should be in group. As i read u said a otto. I agree with arabballin.

Thanks for the replies guys! I think im just going to up my stocking of my current fish. Thanks for the advice.
