reet! i had been looking at the tank, something i haven't really had time for lately, and realised why i love fish so much.
all my fish have worked out how to easily get food when feeding them. my tank is like rush hour at feeding times so for the more delicate fish, it may be abit harder than others.
well i noticed that my white clouds don't particularly eat flakes that much so i try my hardest to get blood worms but my lfs has often sold out. they do however love blood worm pellets. but of course lifes hard and these pellets are like a quater of their size so they cant eat them. after watching, i noticed they wait until one of my 8/9 inch weather loach eats them and spits (or whatever) little bits out through their gills. the white clouds then swim really fast and eat the little bits before they get to the bottom. its amazing! lol well i found it amazing.
i have 2 clown loaches. one slightly bigger than the other. the biggest one rushes around the tank picking off flakes while the other sits with a blood worm pellet in it's mouth. still dont know which is the easiest method lol.
my betta hides in the plants away from the other fishes at feeding time. dont know why because i would have thought this would have been the most dominant fish. but flakes that stay on top always get caught on the plant leaves that touch or just go over the surface of the water. the betta then eats the flakes. energy consuming i guess, waiting for your food to come to you. lazy betta.
my corys tend to not come out for a while. not until the blood worm pellets have softened and its easier to eat them.
oh man, well i hope you've enjoyed my detailed essay here lol
didn't know i write so much.
anyway, has anyone else noticed this kinda behaviour in their tanks?
