the fluval uno 600 is £94.00 i think, is the to much..im getting a stand as well im think juwels but arnt the filters rubbish! can be bothered to replace and gt externla etc though

I had a juwel 125ltr and didn't like the filter, stood out too much. Mind you. I had too downgrade to the aqua 620 and didn't like the filter in that either so my hubby cut it out.

I've had the Juwel 60 for a little over a year now and am very pleased with it. Basically, the Juwel filters do fine for the sort of thing I do: planted tanks, fairly lightly stocked. When my stocking levels started rising, I added an extra external, rather than taking the Juwel out; that way, I've got a bit of backup if something happens to the filter when I'm away. But I ran it for a year with just eh Juwel filter (normal stocking- 1 inch/gallon sort of proportions) with absolutely no problems. If you intend to keep very messy fish, you may want a stronger filter.
No experience of the other tank, I'm afraid.

Juwel filters may work fine, but apparently sludge gets caught in the back and rots polluting the tank further.

Also, theyre pretty massive! A better internal filter would be smaller then those.

not a problem that I've noticed. I hoover the filter compartment out when I do the general gravel vac, it's really easy.

mine either my water is always sparkling clean and other than a few ill advised neons, (and three other fish i lost in the heat) i havet ever lost a fish
