Sump On Fw Fish Tank

i have a sump that i dont use now was part of me breeding rack thining of getting my main tank drilled and so on and put the sump to help with the filtration side of life anyone got a sump on there tank i know the greter surface area for bacteria to grow on the better

My freshwater tank has a sump

It used to be a Marine tank

Went I swapped it to freshwater I filled the sump with ceramic rings for my filtration
