I am in the process of setting up a new Juwel Rekford 800 aqaurium, 110L.
I am moving an Oscar and 2 gourmies into the tank.
Being a relative novice of fish compatability I am after advice as to what fish would be suitable to add to this environment.
I hear Oscars can be very territorial and agressive towards fish in their 'space', but I have a larger Oscar in another tank who is very docile?
I was thinking along the lines of a Red Tailed Black Shark or a Parrot, but this is only because I currently have them and so I am fairly ignorant to other options!
Any advice would be appreciated!
Also........Sand or Gravel?!
Thanks in advance!

Mike

It's your choice on the substrate. The Oscar will out grow the 110L in a matter of months. Depending on the species of gourami, they could do the same. Neither the parrot or shark are good for a tank that size. I would start over with small fish that stay small. Such as tetras and dwarf cichlids, or some of the rasboras, livebearers, not mollies.

I appreciate what your saying but the Oscar and gourmies are being transferred in so I need fish that won't just end up as an expensive treat for a hungry Oscar? When they outgrow a tank I move them on but until then I have to transfer them unfortunately.
