Strange Tiny Worms In My Filter

I'm a bit worried about what I found in my filter last night when I was cleaning it out. There was tiny little white worms almost looked liked bits of cotton all over my filter.

They were all moving about (Yuk). Any one know what they are and wether this is bad news?

Look up 'planaria' on Google to see if they look like them. They can flourish for a bit then die off in aquariums.

Ewww they look horrible. Might well be them, they are a bit small to see. Shouldn't be a problem then thanks for your reply
