I am going to be getting a juwel rio 125 (says its 125l but on calculator it is 145l???)
Water changes will be done on a weekly basis of 20%. The filtration will hopefully be either a tetratec ex600 with the juwel internal filter or ex 700 with the juwel internal filter. Or an eheim ecco, well basically any external filter with media trays, not like the eheim classics which dont have trays?

Which of these options would you go for? They will be going into a planted tank

1.
20 Cardinal Tetras
20 ember tetras (if i can get hold of)
10-20 shrimp (whatever i can get hold off)
2 german blue rams
6-10 corydoras
1 albino rainbow shark (already have, very peaceful)

2.
20 cardinal tetras
20 red phantom tetras
10-20 shrimp
2 german blue rams
6-10 corydoras
1 albino rainbow shark (already have, very peaceful)

3.
10 cardinal tetras
6-10 rummynose tetras
2 angel fish
2 german blue rams
1 albino rainbow shark (already have, very peaceful)
6 corydoras

4.
10 Cardinal Tetras
10 harlequin rasbora
10 rummynose tetras
2 german blue rams
6-10 corydoras
1 albino rainbow shark (already have, very peaceful)
10-20 shrimp

Please let me know what you think, it will be very helpful. Feel free to suggest stocking options yourself. Am i correct to say eteras dont produce a massive bioload? That is why ive got a lot of them lol and because i like them a lot. And i know corys dont produce a massive bioload aswell.

Thanks
Will

not 100% sure on this but i thought i had read somewhere on the cichlid forum that rams will eat shrimp?

as for the options i am leaning towards option 2 simply due to the combinations of reds and blues, the availability of each species and the fact that larger numbers of a fewer species usually works best,

although rummynose would just as well as the phantoms and cardinals.

I also think its best to avoid angels as although sometimes it works with small tetras, it is better not to take the chance.

All look ok. How tall is the tank? I wouldn't keep angels in anything that is not at leats 18" tall.

I cant comment on the rainbow shark (not idea what they are like, how big they get etc, but assuming he is small (less then 3") and peaceful then all the rest should be fine.

I keep blue rams in with my cherry shrimp and they pretty much leave them alone. They are capable of eating them though if they wanted to.

I like option 3 because it's the least bioload. All of the other ones seem like too much.
