Stocking Plan Mk1...

Ok the tank is a rio 125 - sand substrate with some pebbles and bog wood, planted.

it has the juwel internal filter plus an 2215 Ehiem external.

and I'm thinking about:

2 (a pair of) Gourami's - honey or blood red or pearl.
2 (a pair of) Blue Rams.
10 - 15 tetras - Rummy nose or Cardinal
3 corys (panda etc not sure about these yet)

I've tried to research as best I can as far a behaviour and which areas of the tank they will use, any opinions on ph/temperature of tank over/understocking etc would be welcome.

Hi,
I would say that,with all the filtration in your tank,it would be more than adequate to house these fish. I would, however,further your research on gouramis. I used to keep gouramis and they can be quite aggressive, even to the point of bullying other fish(especially other gouramis) to death. I really don't mean to scupper your plans,but they were a nightmare fish for me!!

do you know which type of gouramis they were so I can avoid them..?

I have opaline gourmais in a pair but one used to bully the otherso it's recommended to get three or more so the bullying isshared out i only have one left now

ok I'll stay away from them then, have you had any experience with the honey, blood red or pearl?

I was wondering about angels too, are they only agressive when they are in groups? would a single koi be okey..?

I want a nice peaceful tank that I don't have to keep worrying about!
