Can anyone advise me if my tank is fully stocked please? I'm not thinking of getting anymore fish just now as I've had a few deaths recently, but if i have room for any others in the future, I would like some suggestions of suitable additions please.

That sounds like to many fish but i dont have a big tank. I useful guideline you could use somewhat is for every inches of fishes you have it should have one gallon. BUT im sure it varies widely with the fish.

It's pretty well stocked but if the fish you add are low bioload you might be able to add a few more.. possibly more black phantom tetras? schooling fish not too great on their own. Or possibly add something like shrimp that add very little to the bioload but can be great fun?

Thanks, i did have 3 blk phantom tetras, but as I explained i have experienced a few deaths recently - including two of them :( If i were to put more phantoms in, how many would you suggest?

I personally would add 5.. assuming your maintainence is done regularly there wont be much extra bioload at all.
or rehome the one left n change to a differant kind of tetra is you fancy a change.

Thanks for that, would it be ok to add any 6 tetra's then? (thats if i rehome this one, or i may just get him some mates!)
I am very careful with maintanence and testing water regulary, but i don't want to do the wrong thing.

depend son the type.. if simialr size and temperment then would be fine.. not any of the larger tetras or fin nippers (such as buenos aires). I'd use thinkfish.com to double check compatability.
They do prefer their own kind as company, but I'v seen some small tetras shoal with others before.
