Stick On Tank Thermometer

Ok, so I got this stick on glass fish tank thermometer, and am a little confused on how to read or interpret it.

Right now it has a red glowing square next to 78, a green glowing square next to 75, and a blue glowing square next to 71, now which one is the temperature currently at?

I think I am right in saying that it will be the green square.

Correct.(green) the other two indicate error, and if the green is not visible show the approximate temperature.
