Jibber_Angel
Fish Fanatic
Hello Everyone,
I woke up yesterday to find out that Santa has decided to make a late stop over to Jibber_Angel on his way back to the north pole
oh how happy I was
I found out that my loving other half had wrote to Santa saying that he has given in to me (anything for an easy life
) said that I could have a new tank but it couldn't be to big
, but on a good note it did mean that I could have a new tank
.
So there was me popping onto the forum have a look and I found a nice little bargin tank thanks to a kind reefer, so this is where my journey of a change takes place over the last 24 hours.
Hope you enjoy the story
So after sleeping in till 3pm
, I am came on another forum to find my new bargain tank and by 4pm I was in a mad dash to drive all the way from Grimbo to Nottingham to collect the new tank (I drove, other half slept
). We then finally managed to get there after following some dodgy AA directions (and other halfs directions lol
) and squeeze the tank into the small car known to man
.
I then drove home at hermit pace
to just get home and dump the car outside the house as all I wanted to do was get the tank out stuff the parking (typical woman
).
So off we go the next morning to find a LFS that has some RO and is open. Luckily managed to find a place open (80 miles later
) we have 85Litres of RO which was pre-salted thank god
.
The salty water and new sand all ready to go
I then decided that I should leave the half to his slave duties, whilst I put my feet up and watched princess dairies 2
Then distract the dog with a treatie , as came home to find she had taken a liking to a T5 light :stupid:
So we then started to pour the lovely water in
Once all the water was in it was time start with the rock transfer to the tank
I was feeling kind and gave my slave some choccie biscuits
No time for rest for the wicked though so back to the rock work slave
So with all rock work now nearly done - the other half suddenly realised oops how do we put the filter behind the tank
So we went from this
To this within 24 hours
The tank still isn't fully set up and will take more adjustment etc but at the moment I am happy with the finished product
Forgot to add the tank is Jewel 180 (I think it might be a RIO)
Stock wise
2x clowns
1x Mandrain
1x Pink Scooter
1x Yellow Goby
A few corals in there at the moment, but will be adding some more over time.
