you need to tell us a bit more about your set-up
tank dimensions/lighting etc.

there is another thread about carpet plants active at the moment, have a look at that.

most carpet plants are difficult to grow if you don't have really good light/fert./co2 etc.
 
That's a very tough question to answer without knowing the lighting, CO2, etc... IF you're aiming for high light (3-4WPG), I like riccia and glossostigma. Lower light levels can make any carpeting a bit difficult.

Almost no "carpeting" plants will do well at low light levels. If you have less than 2-3 wpg you could try dwarf sag or dwarf hairgrass, but no guarantees on them. The other option is java moss.

If you are referring to the 29g tank in your sig, I'm not sure how well small foreground plants would do with goldfish, as I understand they tend to eat most plants. HTH~
