I don't have any experience with swordtails but I can say with guppies all you have to do is add water. Seriously. Them and convicts breed like there's no tomorrow.

The guppies eat their fry tho so you'll want to seperate them.

Yep, you just have to add water, and maybe a few plants for the new fry to hide in.
