so i told my dad that i wanted a snowflake moray (G. tile) for my brackish tank, and he come home with an E. nebulosa. the tank is high end brackish (.018) so i decided to keep the baby eel with my gsp and mono. hes been doing well for 3 weeks now, eating every day. so the question is will it be okay to keep him. i have a 38 g tank so will i have to get rid of him before he gets too big? Im also worried about he puffer. the eels very small 6 inches and the puffer will go after him every time he comes out of his cave. the puffer has killed afew of my fish before..

You will have to get rid of him because they requite a tank which is at least twice as large, and even juveniles should have a larger tank. You also shouldn't be keeping him in a brakish tank because the species is full on marine. I'm not trying to be rude here.. but can you please tell us why you are putting small fish in with one you already know to be aggressive?

You might have a little more luck getting a Gymnothorax tile if you send your dad with a bit of paper which has the scientific name on it or ask for the "freshwater moray": the word "moray" is used interchangeably with "eel" in common names.

Good luck finding a new home for it, maybe the LFS might even swap it for a G. tile for you.

Snowflakes should be in full Marine

They don't need big tanks but do need efficient filtration
