If I pick up a snail and put it into my 5 gallon tank where my betta currently resides will there be any issues? Also, would the snail just feed off of what my betta leaves behind, I don't have to feed it right lol?

It will be fine, it will feed on waste and algae(effectiveness depending on the snails) there will be no issue. Make sure it isnt too bigger snail though.

As long as your pH isn't too low then yes you could have a snail. You can buy food for them too, on eBay and at invertsupplies.co.uk

Hi,

Depending on the type of snail you may end up will millions of the things as some just don't stop breeding. A good choice would be an apple snail. Have a look on www.applesnail.net for more information.
