Smallest Gourami

Anyone know what the smallest gourami is as I'm considering getting a pair and my tank is not exactly big. I really like honey gourami but how big do they get? And what about dwarf gourami and is there anything else? thanks

Honey Gourami stay very small, bout 2" max. Dwarf Gourami get to about 2 1/2"

Chocolate Gourami stay very small but are really hard to keep.

Maybe you could get Sparkling gourami? they stay quite small & look nice, i think they get about 1 1/2" max.

Here is a link about the sparkling gouramis. I've never seen them in the lfs, but a while back another member was asking about them.

They are a bit different from the regular dwarf gouramis but they seem like interesting fish if you can find them.

As far as the regular Dwarf gouramis go -- most of them are close to the same size, so pick the one you like and get it. It will not make much difference.

thanks. wow those sparkling gouramis are small. i'll look around my lfs, maybe they'll have some. i've never kept gourami, so i don't know but would you say that they're difficult to take care of as i'm still a beginner at this?
