Small Snail Eaters.

Iv done alot of reading, even on the loach forums. Im trying to find a smaller variety of loach to deal with a Pond snail problem. My 40 gallon tank is way to small to house clown loaches so im trying to find somthing smaller. I Looked at puffer fish, but I have 5 guppies and a sword tail pair in their. Im convinced that the puffer would rather chew on my guppies than the snails. If you guys know any small known snail eaters, please help me out Thanks guys

Just remember you should keep multiple of any loach. 3 minimum, 5 is better.

Y. Sidthimunki is the smallest. It's about 2 inches but can be hard to find/moderately expensive. It tends to be peaceful and active.

YoYo loaches - OK in 3's.

The med 'Flubenol 15' will kill the snails (soz if I have mentioned that to you before).

sweet, thanks alot guys I would try the Flubenol 15 but im trying my best to use chemicals as a last ditch effort to get rid of them. Im only home about 2 days a week due to my job. That only gives me enough time to do my required water changes and maintinance. My Old lady wont get in their and pick them out for me so i figured a snail eater would be the next best thing. Plus they are physidae, so they seem to re-populate every 10 min Ill try my luck with a trio of yo yo loaches.
