I currently have 2 plecs, 1 gibbicep, 4 albino catfish, 1 angelfish, 2 neon tetras and 3 x-ray tetras which have just been transferred into a Trigon 350 tank as the plecs were rapidly outgrowing the Rekord 120 tank I had! It looks amazing and I have been contemplating getting a couple of puffer fish but I'm not entirely sure this is wise as I've seen a lot of comments on this site about them being quite vicious at times and generally hard work  . Do you think a couple of puffers (and which kind??) would be suitable with the other fish I have?? Not sure if tank size makes a difference to what other species they can live with.

Any suggestions as to what would be good in my tank? I would really like something a bit different, that stands out.

I would advise getting a lot more x-ray tetras and neons and because in a tank such as yours they really need to be in shoals of at least 8 to really thrive  .

How planted is this tank and what sort of decor and substrate do you have?

I actually got 10 more neons last night and three clown loaches which look great (and help with the snail problem I seem to be having!). I have gravel in the tank and I only have seven large plants in there but I am intending to put more in. I'll try to post some pics later on today.

Keep an eye on the clown loaches since they are prone to falling ill to whitespot when new, also keep an eye on the angelfish as they may eat the neons when they grow larger (neons are part of angelfishes natural diet in the wild) .
What are your two other types of plecos exactly do you know :) ?
