Can I keep a single male Severum of 6inches in either of these tanks?
Fluval Roma 240:
25 Silvertip Tetras, 2 Angelfish, 2 Cryptoheros Cutteri, 8 Marbled Hatchets, 5 Emperor Tetras, 2 Bristlenose, 4 Corydoras Julii, 2 SFF, 7 Black Phantom Tetras, 3 Corydoras Ambiacus, 2 Otocinclus.

240L:
5 Rainbowfish, 1 Cardinal Tetra, 9 Bristlenose, 2 Fan Shrimp, 2 Gobies (Unknown sp.), 2 Danios, 2 Kuhli Loach, 9 Guppies.

All the little fish are fully grown, tetras, danios, otos, cories, guppies.

The reason I am asking is because I can get a free severum and so I am wondering whether it may be compatible as I LOVE severums and this is the perfect opportunity to get one.

Thank you,
AmazonFTW

What sort of severum are you getting? Red spot, gold and green can get pretty big, so personally I would say your tetra could be lunch, not sure on Guppies to be honest but I think their tails would be nipped. As for the shrimp I think they could be lunch too.
You would be ok with the angels, bn, cory, otto, danios, rainbows & Hatchets. I think its possible with a bit of shuffling. Of course you have to take into account your filtration etc

Edit: Forgot the Cryptoheros Cutteri, they *should be ok with a sev too.

*should, but you never know with cichlids

The Black Phantoms are deep bodied and I think the Emperors are too big but it's the Silvertips I'd be woried about - although they are very fast.

Thanks,

Definately not with the silver tips, even though they are fast I think some would get picked off, same with the cardinal really, but as you say the phantoms are that bit bigger you could get away with it.

My whole tank is based around the Silvertips really so unfortunatly no severum for me :(.
