Sand / Gravel

can you put sand and gravel in the same tank. The reason im asking is this ive got sand in my tank at the moment but im not happy with it theres not enough and i dont want to add any more cause of the whole needs to be stired isue and i think i would forget.

so ive now got some very fine gravel and what i was going to do is move the sand into one area and then put the gravel around the edges in some way, may also be better at keeping the plants roots covered

or somthing like that
any ideas anyone

i havent done it yet so all ideas and comments welcome

im hoping to do it either 2night or sunday somtime as ive got no kids

it wouldnt hurt anything in fact it looks more naturual and i have done the same in both my tanks. Good luck to you!
