Sand Gravel Question

i am looking to put some dwarf puffers in my tank. and as of right now it has rocks at the bottom. i was wandering do i really have to empty it all out take out the rocks and then put in sand, or what would be the best way to put sand in there. or will they even suffice with rocks

i dont think that your dwarf puffers would really care, all they need is plenty of places to investigate and hide if there are more than one as bullying somtimes occurs

k thanks, its just in the fish information section they should have sand, but i saw tanks online that had rocks. but again thanks, im getting them this weekend and should have pictures up shortly after that

i have 3 dwarf puffers and they always rest in my plants, i have never seen them rest on the bottom yet so i dont think the substrate is all that important. as i said they do need places to investigate as they are nosey little boys/girls and enjoy littles caves etc to look into
