Sand Everywhere!

Ive recently set up a nano 40 in my bedroom, and i decided to use sand instead of gravel, Ive never used sand before and fancied a change

Any how it seems that the air stones are kicking up loads of sand and everything constantly has a fine layer of sand on it. Is there a way of stopping this or a way of airiating the water that doesnt use an airstone?

some internal filters come with an oxygenating attachment.

yeah if you wanna use an airstone in a tank with a sandy base you need to make sure it's not on the substrate.... stick it to the tank wall at least an inch above the sand

Makes sense really

I think a new filter is on order though, the one i have at the min in noisey as hell!
