Rosy Barbs Nippy?

I saw some neon rosy barbs at the lfs and my wife really likes them. Are they nippy like tiger barbs are known to be? I ask because I have a betta in the tank.

I think all barbs can be nippy,
I have just had to get rid off my 5 black ruby barbs because they were nipping my cories even though every thing I read about them said they were peaceful.

I used to own rosey barbs and i thought they were less aggressive and nippy than the tigers for sure. I only had 3 but they just bothered one another even in that small number. They can be quite active and aggressive eaters so if you have slow moving fish, they may stress them out or not get as much food because of that but otherwise i like them and didn't have a problem with them.
But the betta will be too tempting for them, I'd said no for that tank.

Yes they are very nippy, I kept them in a tank with plattys once and had to get rid after a few weeks as my plattys had no tails so I would say its a no no with a betta for sure.

I dont know, I have three rosy barbs in my 28 gallon community and they are fine they are very subdued. And dont bother the other fish at all, I suppose it depends on their surroundings and tank mates.
