Is it better to remove those plastic containers from plants before planting or not ?

I think i read somewhere that they tend to bunch up the roots, causing root rot.

Generally, it is best to remove the "plant" from the plastic pot before planting. The reason I said "plant" is that often, once you get "it" out of the pot and start teasing the mieral wool apart, you'll find there are more than one plant.

If you leave them in the pot, they also tend to be okay, (the pots are usually full of holes/slots), and if removing it looks like it would seriously damage the existing root ball, then leave it.

It's one of those things where there is no real hard and fast rule. I've done both.
