I have been treating for Gill flukes for the last 2ish weeks. anyhow i have finally finished the treatment and i want to return my shrimp to my main tank.

Ive done a 40% water change and had a carbon filter in there for a few days, Will this be enough to clear the water of the treatment, i dont want to kill her

no one, not even wilder :-(

Should be okay, I would do another 40% just in case, copper tends to be very lethal to shrimp so if the med had any in I would do more water changing just in case.

I'd do several water changes first. Try to minimise any toxins left in the system. Shrimp are generally *very* sensitive.

It seems i have bifgger issues now, The shrimp is in my quarentene tank, and i recently bought some sword tails and put them in with him..... Problem is, they have worms, and possilbe white spot :( i cant put him back now cause he'll infect my main tank! and i cant treat my sword because it will kill the shrimp!!!!

Heven knows what i will do!

Can you move your shrimp to a bowl or bucket for a bit to make sure they don't have anything on them? I'd put them into a different container and do some pretty frequent water changes in it to make sure.

Then, as said above, do a few water changes on your main tank to make sure the meds are gone, then add the shrimp from the bowl/bucket/container to that tank, and treat the fish in your QT as you normally would.

Yep, shrimp don't catch or carry whitespot. The only way you would transfer it to the main tank would be if you added water along with the shrimp. I'd get a bucket of dechlored water and basically wash the shrimp off by putting him through several "cleansings". Then put him back home. The main problem with that would be using a contaminated net to transfer him tho..

Even better would be to aclimatise him to a bucket of tank water taken from your "clean" tank and use that water to make sure he's well flushed. Please note depending on the size and type of shrimp "bucket" could as easily be cup / jug / whatever, hehe.

can you post a picture of your shrimp cause that would really help i love shrimp and would be more than happy to help u but we would need a picture
