I posted something similar in my journal seen in my signature yesterday but it's on the 8th page, making it annoying to get to. So, I'm going to use this thread to ask questions, to plan and to post updates about my re-scape and possible re-stock
Here's a photo of how my tank currently looks:
It doesn't look bad but it certainly isn't impressive which is why I need to rethink the design of my tank with your help! I've been looking into pressurized CO2 so that most plants don't just go and die on me but even the fire extinguisher way seems a little too expensive.
I may, however go the liquid carbon route and spend a little upgrading my two T8 tubes to T5.
As for stock, here's a photo of the single Gold Gourami that I have:
Alongside him, I have a Bristlenosed Plec, 6 Cardinal Tetras and 3 Rummy Nosed Tetras. The first of any restocking plans will obviously be to get some more Rummy Nosed Tetras. As for anything else though, maybe I'll be fully stocked or maybe I'll want to try for something else... the Gold Gourami would probably be my biggest problem if I wanted to try something else.

As you can see in my full tank photo, I have a considerable amount of Java Moss which I need to cut down on before I buy any more plants so make sure you keep your eyes on the classifieds section as I may be posting on there. I think my Java Fern is alright though, it gives some height to my tank.
It would be nice to move the Java Fern to the back however my Bristlenose loves going under the piece of bogwood that it's attached to. There's other pieces in my tank but if I ever want to find "the beast", that's where he will be!
In case you didn't realize how much moss I actually have, here's another photo:
I'm not entirely sure how much it sells for and how big the portions should be so I need to do some research on that, unless anyone knows? I'll probably need to buy some decent packets or tubs to put it in for posting too before I sell it too.
So yeah, that's my situation at the minute and that's the canvas I have to rescape from. I would have posted this thread in the planted section as I mainly want suggestions for what plants to try next and suggestions for CO2 but as I'm not just focusing on that, I've gone for the general section
Unless I find a new home for the Gold Gourami, I don't really have room for more stock except the few more Rummy Nosed Tetras so maybe that would be a good plan?
