Rescue Of Two Bettas!

I was at a small fish show today and they were giving out bettas for free. It also included a tank, food, conditioner, e.t.c. But, these tanks are small, like puny small, the size of a juice box or two. They said they would thrive in these "cells of water", it was horrible. So, I bargained and hassled to get two and finally did. I had some larger containers, about half a gallon or so, so I will put them there for the night. Separate containers of course! Tommorow, with the money that I can spare, I will get two 2 gallon bowls for each of them. I will do 50% water changes twice a week. My rescue hopefully saved 2 lives from death and despair.

Anyone saved a life?

Yay LOL...my bettas are warmed for now with a lamp. (Quite efective). Want to get another....

careful of the lamp. if it's incandesent it can boil your fish, not to mention quickly fluctuating water temps.

seems odd to me that at a fish show they would be spreading this sort of treatment of fish...

i saved a guppied from my mates tank

he told me he had lost 1 about a week before so i serched his whole tank and found it squashed in the filter synce then i made him add a small net over the filter so it cant happen again

Free bettas with teeny tiny little bowls? Sounds like you were at a Big Als.
