Red Tailed Sharks.

only get one. They don't like eachother. also be carefull about getting slow widebodied fish that will not turn and fight. I know of one in a south american cichlid tank and he fits in perfectly.

My 55 gallon.
1 Gold Fish
1 Bottom Feeder
2 Plecos
2 Ghost Shrimp
1 Snail
2 Mollies

That and my sick ID shark, my question is would it be a good idea to put in a red tail shark in there with them, and how would he go with my ID.......

Hmmm well I wouldn't reccomend adding any new fish, if I were you I would rehome some of your fish (the goldfish, both the plecos, and the ID shark). I doubt that a red tail would get along with the ID, he would see him as another shark and probably fight. And don't forget that the ID shark is going to be able to swallow him whole (along with the rest of your fish) when he gets big enough lol.

Ah i see, yeah i know the ID is gonna be killing em off when he gets big enough but i kinda planned that, thats if he survives to get big enough.

What do you mean by rehome?

Well... mollies need brackish water. The irridescent will get too big. Goldfish are coldwater. Plecos aren't. And I think they usually fight when they get bigger if there's more than one. Also, what's the "bottom feeder"? I would say rehome (give to someone else who can take better care of them, or if that's not possible, give to the lfs) all of the fish, THEN get an RTS and other SUITABLE fish. Try to research your stocking a bit BEFORE you purchase it as well.

Relocate them to a different tank, give them to a friend, drop them off at a lfs. The reason I am suggesting this is because you have an unsuitable mix of fish in your aquarium. Goldfish are coldwater fish and shouldn't be kept with tropicals. The Plecos (I'm assuming they are common plecos, correct me if I'm wrong) will outgrow your aquarium, they are huge waste producers and you would need a massive tank with excellent filteration to properly house both of those plecos long-term. I'm not trying to sound harsh, just laying down the facts. If you have any more questions please ask.
By the way, what is the "bottom-feeder"?

Edit: NeonTetra beat me to it.

Gold fish are cold water, he shouldn't be in a heated tank. :good:

The gold fish is temporary, didnt want my brothers oscars to kill one of em he looked so nice hahha.

Bottom feeder im not to sure, kinda looks like a cat with whiskers but ill have to look into it

The ID shark i will move later on when he gets to size and eats my mollies :shifty: Fact is when i bought him i didnt know, and ive found somone whos possibly interested so.

Tanks heated at about 80 i think, as far as i know thats ok for the ID and plecos, (guys i care about the most) the mollies i got on sale and to be frank i expected to get eaten anyway. Im some what of a humanitarian so ill probably end up giving someone the mollies, however they seem to be doing fine.

And ive come to the conclusion that most of the inhabitants in my aquarium are temporary, well whatever we all learn, least i havent killed any yet lol.

Anyway thanks for the input, ill have to decide what to do in the near future, one thing im sure though the plecos and ID are gonna be in there till there time to move comes (being when there to big) i figure there in no immediate danger so let em grow i guess.
