We got the tanks all rearranged and moved the jag into its new temporary digs. Then I went to get the female JD out of the 55 and she was dead. most of her tailfin was gone and she had what looked like a few bite marks or something on her. We also took the Green Severum back out of the tank with the GT and put him back with the Jewel and the male JD. He also had a couple of scratches on him.
Since we did this, the Jag has gone back to his calm looking colors, his fins are pretty ragged looking, I think it was the male JD picking on him. He definately seems happier where he is now. And the same for the Sev. He had not come back out of hiding from the time we put him back in the 55. Put him back in the 30 and he lightened up and was flaring at the male JD while he tried to eat.
I guess Cuervo the Green Terror is going to live up to the terror part of his name.

That sux you lost a JD. Usually they are very hardy fish. My GT regularly terrorizes my other fish except the JD. Donno why. But he doesn't really bite them, I think these guys kill by ramming their enemy to death. I put all my fish in my 55 for the next few days cuz i needed to take my other tanks down for the move. My 55 is about maxed at this point, but will only be for a few days -_-

What size are your JD and managuense, missyintx_99? That Jag will get big and bad and get his revenge later on I bet. :D

They are both 3". I would have thought for now they would be evenly matched.
The jag grows bigger which usually means that when fish are smaller, even tho the GT and Jag are the same size, the GT is older or more dominate.

I can assure you that when the jag grows older he'll take out that GT, no questions asked. jmo. :)

Yup and jags are much more agile. They can swim laps around the stiffer bodied GT or JD, all the while getting in shots with their sharp teeth. Check out this guys teeth. The guy who owns this badboy is on pfish.net
