ive noticed in sum tank pics there is a kind of grassy plant that lloks great id really like sum in my tank how much is it and does it need any specific require ment i hope to add a little life 2 my tank as it has but 2 plants 1 is on a log and another in the ground plz all info appreciated

grass plants will require over 3 watts per gallon og lighting to grow properly.
that's pretty much the only requirement...

Dwarf Hairgrass is nice and it will grow in lower light. I just got some last week and there is already alot of new growth. I have low light, but I inject C02, so that helps.

I have some Echinodorus Angustifolius in my tank. I have moderate light - 1.75wpg. They are doing just fine, and I have runners off one of them.

I have had just about all carpet type plants in my tanks.

Trouble is my cows eat them.

Rainbows are the cows of my tank...

Cichlids and plants no good. They graze on the juicy bits....!LOL!
