keeping fish are easy, so once you got that part going well then start looking into keeping plant..

Plants need the right light, right amount of light, fertilizers, spesial gravel, compatible fish, CO2, no undergravel filters, minimum surface disruptions, and, and, and

I would read the pinned topics and pick some from the easy list. I have easy plants (although my crypts are not doing well) and I don't have co2, I have a hob filter which creates surface movement, I use no fertilizer, I use regualar aquarium gravel, and one of my tanks gets no natural light and it only has about 1 watt per gallon which is low. But so far my plants are doing great. The ones I have are cryptoriine wendtii (this is the one I'm having trouble with but it is new and they don't like being moved about), hygrophilia polysperma, anubias nana (super duper easy) and aponogeton bulbs from walmart which are insane plants.

i agree thqt plantrs are harder than fish but they are easy if you pic k the right ones. the easiest i have found are:

anubias nana
cryptocoryne wendtii
cryptocoryne willisii
hygrophila polysperma

i just ignore them and they thrive...no ferts or CO2 or owt
