Re done tank shot.

Its my re-done tank. Ive been planning on ripping it up and redoing a bit, so i did.

It looks boring but ill get more plants soon, and thatll look better.

I have been looking for a background for it, but as u can sort of see, its a very high tank, so not many fit, plus im pretty fussy bout backgrounds. I was thinkin bout spray painting it black like a few others on here....hmm

I find a plain blue background always gives the sense of depth I like. Plus it shows off the plants well. Maybe it will work for you too.

Either spray paint it black, or get a background.

I'm pathetic, but I love the plant backgrounds you can get in the LFS.. it just fills in the spots where my plants don't grow.

Lol, im going to go out to the shops tommorrow so ill check a few places out. If not, ill try some black cardboard i reckon, and see how it looks before i go gungho at sprypainting!

I have one single 40w. As discussed previously not long ago im gonna upgrade soon to twin bulbs cause my tank is pretty deep! But all is well. I do fertilize but i dont use CO2.

Ya, I would spray paint it black. It just looks better.
I would also upgrade the light and begin co2 fertilization. I think your plants would love it!!

I tried black but prefered dark blue, you can hardly see my background though!!

Edit - Nice setup. I like the way your Vallis hides your filter.
