Rasbora or tetra breed?!?!

Hi there i was wondering if anyone can give me a definite answer on my new fish…The Petstop shop had them advertised as Glowlight Tetras however as i was reading up more about them i now think they are rasboras !?😬 Any help identifying them for sure would be greatly appreciated

That is indeed a Rasbora but I’m not exactly sure it’s Rasbora heteromorpha . It could be another closely related species of Rasbora . It could also be a very young heteromorpha but I’m not sure . @Innesfan what say you ?

I agree with @Essjay. I suspect the confusion arose with the 'common name', as it often does, "Glowlight Rasbora," which the dealer conflated with "Glowlight Tetra." It is an especially unfortunate 'common name' since it has also been applied to another rasbora species in the past, Trigonopoma pauciperforata, better known as the "Red Line Rasbora."

Wow thanks so much ya’ll thats perfect i was defo thinkin there was a mix up so only worry now is they dont seem to be eating the micro pellets i had been tryin to stay away from flakes as i think they are messy but will be gettin some tommorrow!!!Thanks a million for everyones help 🤗
