HELP !

Never really had problems like this before.
Water readings are correct , no amonia no nitrate nitrite etc of concern yet over the last 4 days ive lost 5 fish of various species.

Cant understand whats going on at all.

Fish dont look pysically ill at all. None of the other fish are gasping at all of laying on the bottom. The only thing in commin is that problems occur when the lights go out ! As mad as that may seem:crazy:

Any ideas at all.

Stock list is
2x German blue rams
2x Tiger patys
1x BN pleac
3x Bumble bee gobys
5x Male endler
1x F Guppy
2x YOYO Loaches

i think you have a killer on the lose in your tank. might be the plec... those can be nasty sometimes

Me too. to be fair hes the oldest inhabbitant and has always been ok and is never found at the scene of the crime.
Maybe its the yoyo's????:/

It's clearly a fish mafia job lol.
But are there any injuries on the fish? Maybe try knocking the light off and watching the tank to see if you can see any aggression?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
It's rare to have a nitrate reading of 0. What your tap nitrate reading and do you have live plants.

On closer inspection on the latest victim yes . a slit straight down the belly looks like its been gutted alive
with the lights down the yoyo s bound around the tank like mad

150 L tank loads of live plants.
not no nitritate but was about 5ppm just enough to notice a difference on the chart.

How long have the fish all lived together.

Are the fish showing any of these signs.

Being thin or bloated.
Looking pale or darker in colour.
Being listless and lethagic.
What does it look like when your fish go to the tiolet.
Any signs of darting, excess mucas, flicking and rubbing.

All been minimum of 3 months spanning back to a year untill introduction of 2 yoyo loach last week.

Being thin or bloated. Nope
Looking pale or darker in colour. Nope
Being listless and lethagic. Nope
What does it look like when your fish go to the tiolet. Longer that usual but nothing bizarre
Any signs of darting, excess mucas, flicking and rubbing. No not to the eye and no flicking or rubbing

Treated with general fish tonical and also used recommended dose of API stress zyme yesterday to see if it would help

Dosn't sound like a desease then.

If you added the yoyo loaches and fish are being picked off with no trouble before, I would put it down to the yoyo loaches.

Turn tanks light out and make sure they can't see you and watch the tank for the culprits.
