cuz the females have a round end o the fin on their back and the males have a straight one
Mine look very similar to yours, and the one i think is female has a rounded dorsal fin, while the one that is definitely male has a pointed dorsal and the beginnings of extensions on the caudal fin. I'm referring to the area where the back of the dorsal fin meets the body. I read somewhere

that the dorsal fin is the best way to sex Bolivians that are too young to show much sexual dimorphism. The extensions on the dorsal fin have not yet formed on either of my fish. Keep in mind this is info passed on from my reading, i haven't had the fish long enough to absolutely sure but it jibes with what i've read.
The one on the left I'd say was a male - no pink on the belly at all. The angle the one on the right is kinda hard to tell. Neither have the longer dorsal fins (that I can tell from the pic) but if the one on the right has pinkish on the belly, I'd say it's a female.
I'm fairly sure the pink belly thing only applies to blue rams (ramizeri), not Bolivians (altispinosa/us?). Both my Bolivians have yellow bellies, although the yellow coloration extends higher on the male, the one i think is female has yellow only on the belly, not up to the shoulder like the male has. I notice that your pair has similar coloration. My female also has a couple yellow rays on her dorsal after the front black rays, but i don't know if that is just her particular color morph or if it's dimorphism. I think the pink you are seeing in these pictures on the female is her gills, not a pink color on the body. The pic you have is showing the same behavior that my assumed pair shows as well. He nips at her, she raises her caudal fin and swims away to hide. Then she comes back and makes sure he sees her, then hides again when he starts to chase. Very amusing.
Oh, i have also read that the males will develop fushia spots on the dorsal that match the outline on the dorsal and caudal fins. The female will have the outline color but won't have the fuschia spots on the dorsal. My males has a couple spots, the female has none.
