Rainbow Fish

I have two splendid rainbows in my 45 gallon at the moment, lovely fish (male and female). Are these fish ok in a pair or are they supposed to be kept in groups? Btw my pair seem to be very happy, swimming around together and feeding well!

They are shoaling fish so a group is better. Rainbow fish are my favorite, they look amazing in a big group. You can get different types of rainbow fish so you haven't got a tank full of the same fish.

It's best to have a group of them.
