Hi!
I wanted to know if rain water has a soft ph. Also, how does rain water afect breeding dwarf cichlids. Are there any good aspects?

Come on, 31 people have looked at this and no one will reply!!!!!!!!!!! Someone has to know somthing about rain water!

well, since no one else has replied, yes, rainwater is soft and acidic, but i dont know how would would affect the breeding of dwarf cichlids.

If using rainwater in an aquarium you should probably filter it through carbon or something because it can have alot of nasties and pollutants.

Collecting rainwater from clean source and a non industrial area is excellent. Very soft and a very low pH. But this varies from area to area and needs to be tested. I have bred Killifish for over 30 years and I have been lucky as far as my rainwater collection location. I can breed very difficult species with little agravation.
