 one of my neon tetras named little fishy died today. i have no idea why, they all looked fine last night. the temp was 78 when i checked last night and all the other fish looked fine. i heard theres some kind of disease that affects only neons. would this be visable and if so what does it look like?

Sometimes fish just die, sorry you have lost one.

As every one will say, have you checked your water reading?

I found my self in a similar position recently. You must start to take responsibility for your pets. After all they do rely on you.

This forum can help by providing opinions only you can observe your fish, your water conditions or your Knowledge. The forum do provide experience however not everyone is online while your fish die! – I know!

Not trying to be hard, however I lost 6 fish last week – it may happen again –But I know I will be doing everything possible to ensure idea water conditions come first. And that I do not need to rely on this forum.

I’m not trying to knock this group, however we must start to take responsibility for our pets….

PS
I’m really annoyed I lost my fish so of them were over 5 years old. :(

hi kaley822,
Sorry for the loss of 'little fishy'. Have you had him long? I have also heard of a disease that neons get, I think they lose their color, not sure. I have not tried neons since I lost 4 in my first tank, I had no clue about cycling, they seem like fragile fish to me.
