Quick question about “Members online”

Some people(such as myself) choose to make it so that others cannot see when they are online. Therefore, you won't see their name, but there will be a difference between the amount of named members and actual members online.

Well, reread your post because I count 10 members online not 9. Just because a name (Essjay) belongs to a Moderator does not mean that mod doesn't count as a member. 
However, connorlindeman is correct that some folks choose to be invisible on the member list. I used to do that, but then I realized there was no reason I could see for doing it. If you want to read and not be seen, do not log on. I made the change when I began breeding and selling fish.

Good point, but it still lists only 9 under “members online”, which implies that Essjay is not included as a “member”. Staff online and Members online are clearly shown as separate categories. If Essjay is the tenth member, that means hidden members are not included in “members online”. So which is it?
I see myself listed as a member online as well as listed in separate category for mods. Hidden members are not listed as being online.
So if you were in both lists why wasn’t Essjay in both lists?

My question is why can’t the other grasshoppers use a computer? But if you were really aligned with my vibration you’d know that already.
