Hi,
I'm still doing research on what I'd like to have in my tank, and I've gone through a few articles about guppies. While some people say that they're hardy fish, others say that they are easily very inbred and that it's common that they live only for a very short time (sometimes only a few days). Where's the truth in this? What shoud I look for before purchasing guppies?
I also read that having more than one males leads to fin-nipping. I've got bettas, including females together in a community tank, I know that fin damage is a natural part of their lives, but they're fish that are kind of born to bicker.
As I'd rather only have male guppies in a community tank with platies and cories, I'm a bit worried by this info. What's your experience with this?
Thanks!
Viv
